Happy New Week folks!

REMINDER: This Friday, I look forward to seeing as many of you, that can make it, at theĀ U.C Hastings College of Law (my alma mater) Ā first ever west coast Fashion Law Symposium. I will speak on the panel titled ‘Social Ā Media & Fair Use’ and I hope you can join me at the history making event. In addition, do come up and say “hello” when you see me. It would be lovely to put a face to people who read this blog and also send me messages.

The event is free, and is a great networking opportunity for law students, attorneys, and of course you fashion industry professionals as well. So, do mark your calendar forĀ February 28th, 2014Ā and see you this Friday!

On February 18th, 2014, fashion models Coco Rocha and Sara Ziff made an appearance on the Katie Couric show to discuss ‘How to Protect Models.’ They shared how they broke into the modeling industry, and some of the challenges they faced as child models in the industry. They also discussed the recent passing of the Child Model Law in New York and sexual harassment in the workplace for models.

Folks, if you recall, I gave a prior specific break down of the New York child model law and what it means for you the fashion business owner and the fashion industry. In case you missed it, please be sure to read all about it at the following link:
