Hey folks,

I hope your week has been great. Mine has been great, busy but blessed.

I wanted to bring your attention to this fashion event worth attending, which is produced with the help of some really cool fashion professionals in the business that I know i.e. Michael Palladino, Fashion Professor at LIM College and co-chair of host committee and Funmi Alaiyemola, fashion model. Please see details below and I hope you can make it.

Cheers,

Uduak

“UCOF Annual Gala on October 8th, 2014 – Paper Dreams: Writing New Runways.

Event: United Colors of Fashion (UCOF) is asking you to help us empower youth through fashion education, by joining us at the 4th Annual UCOF Academy Gala in New York City at the historic Lexington Avenue Armory on the evening of October 8th, 2014.

UCOF Academy is the first registered 501(c)(3) organization in the U.S. to offer FREE Fashion Education to under-resourced youth. The organization is registered with New York Department of Education, NY Charity Bureau, NY Department of State and the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) as a 501(c)(3) organization under the name of United Colors of Fashion, Incorporated.

Since inception, UCOF Academy has actively nurtured the dreams of 350 youths from the tri-state area by exposing them to the “behind the velvet ropes” experience of the fashion industry. Click here for a word from our students: http://www.unitedcolorsoffashion.org/feedback-from-our-students/

The Gala will commence with an intern exhibition and a cocktail reception, which includes an open bar. A subsequent award ceremony and an entertainment line-up will follow.
