Fashion Tech and Federal Policy Meet on Capitol Hill | Fashion + Tech Showcase 2016

On Wednesday, June 15th, 2016, from 6pm ā€“ 8pm, the fashion tech community will convene at the Reserve Officers Association Building on Capitol Hill for the inaugural Fashion + Tech Showcase 2016 presented by the Fashion Innovation Allianceā„¢. This yearā€™s showcase is slated to attract 100-150 invited guests in fashion, tech, academia, and government; including representatives from Manufacture New York, OpenSource Fashion, the Startup Institute, and the early stage venture capital firm, Brand Foundry Ventures. The Fashion Innovation Allianceā„¢ exists to open the doors to the policy process and to help shape the future of the growing fashion tech revolution. Confirmed speakers include Vikrum Aiyer, Chief of Staff for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; Professor Susan Scafidi, Founder & Academic Director of the Fashion Law Institute at Fordham Law School, and Madison Maxey, Founder & President of The Crated.

Fashion and tech in the 21st Century are two industries that are quickly becoming indispensable to everyday human function and culture.
