Soon, it will be DLA Piper.
That’s right. The law firm that 15 years ago was a mere glimmer in the eye, will soon become the largest law firm in the world, at least when measured by number of lawyers.
The firm recently announced it would formally merge with its Australian partner, DLA Phillips Fox, officially bringing into the DLA Piper empire an additional 600 lawyers. Once the merger takes effect — right now May 1 is the date the firm’s aiming for — the firm will employ more than 4,000 lawyers.
